Collaborate to accelerate innovation is the forward-looking theme of Fieldays 2016, according to NZ National Fieldays CEO Peter Nation.
“By bringing all facets of the agricultural industry together in one place over four days, Fieldays is the platform on which everyone can meet and foster collaborative relationships. Fieldays prides itself on our focused pedestal to innovation and celebrates what this means to our industry, our country, our many innovative exhibitors, and the inventors that bring their innovations to our event. What will be shown to the world on 15 June, may well contribute to revolutionise the future of farming.”
It’s a theme close to the heart of Teletrac Navman, and we’re proud to be a part of that innovation with products directly suited to the farming and agricultural sector.
Farm Management in the 21st Century
Our latest software platform DIRECTOR is born of collaboration between our people, our engineers and our customers. Our team will be giving live demonstrations of DIRECTOR at Fieldays. Many farm owners and fleet managers strive to get an overall view of their machineries performance, time spent on site, maintenance scheduling, and the visibility to help increase efficiency of their operation and reduce costs. This visibility is crucial when managing a diverse and expensive fleet, from something as small as a quad bikes, to a large combine harvester and anything in between.
Teletrac Navman DIRECTOR is the next leap forward in fleet management software. Designed to be simple and accessible, this platform allows users to gain efficient management habits while reducing their operating costs and increasing overall revenue. The software adapts to the needs of fleets of any size and helps businesses create bigger and better success stories every day.
100 Years and Still Going Strong at Taratahi
Teletrac Navman is proud to provide solutions to hundreds of customers in the farming and agricultural sector worldwide. One of those customers is Taratahi Agricultural and Education Centre (Taratahi). Ivan Allanson, National Fleet Manager for Taratahi, manages a fleet of 75 road vehicles (vans, utes, cars, a truck and a bus), plus a wide range of on-farm vehicles including quad bikes, light utility vehicles, motorbikes, tractors, trailers, and utes for farm managers.
Ivan’s main concern with managing his fleet is safety. With 33,000kms being travelled by his vehicles a week nationwide, if an accident or breakdown occurs, Ivan needs to know where that vehicle is for the safety of his staff. Being an education centre, using the system to keep costs down and running an efficient fleet is also important to Ivan.
